If you've been thinking of moving to a straight razor, this may just be the package for you.

The razor: George Wostenholm & Son Celebrated IXL Frameback, just under 5/8" at its lowest point, with horn scales. I found it to be a very smooth shaver and easy to maneuver and learn on. It's in good condition for its age: a good shine, though it does have some patina and a very small spot of pitting on the blade. There are a few bites on the scales, which is very common with horn scales of this age, but overall the scales are in very good condition. I was told that it hones easily (you'll want to have it rehoned, as I cleaned it up after shaving with it for awhile to see how it shaves).

The strop: Whipped Dog Poor Man's Strop, in virtually new condition.

The brush: Semogue 2030B. I thought long and hard about offering this brush. It is one of my favorites, with a 62mm tall aluminum handle (which feels great in the hand). 21mm, 51mm loft, premium boar knot. Though it isn't fully broken in yet, this is one soft brush with good backbone. The size of the handle really makes it good for bowl lathering and it whips the soaps that I've used into submission.

The price: $68.00, which includes CONUS shipping. Will consider separating, also.

Again, you'll want to have the razor honed (may I suggest GemStar Customs?) and you'll be on your way to a great straight razor experience. 2013-08-18 01.16.10.jpg 2013-08-20 19.08.21.jpg 2013-08-20 19.08.48.jpg 2013-08-20 19.09.42.jpg IMG_20130605_221036.jpg
