Straight Razor Place

Not to start anything, but I have been getting the page pictured below when trying to access SRP . This pops up on both my computer and my mobile device.
Anyone know what’s going on?

 

I just noticed that myself. That's a generic message given out by GoDaddy when they have the domain, but the web hosting part hasn't been set up - or paid for. The domain isn't expired, just not showing. It might be that they forgot to pay their web hosting fee.

 

The sight was hijacked and slightly renamed. Join the Straight Razor Place Facebook page and you can see the details. It’s a sad situation that looks like will involve a lawsuit. I’m staying away until it’s sorted.

Bad news. Closed group. Can't get information unless you're joined. I guess I'll wait till someone summarizes it.

I noticed the issue last weekend, but didn’t know the details. I hope they’re back up soon.

 

It is easy to join. Come join us. You will know many of us.

 

It appears the sit has been “stolen” or “hijacked” by one of the administrators. All of the content can be found under the name straight razor palace. The founders have filed a lawsuit. I, as well as some others here are members of SRP. I use the site mainly as a resource. TSD is my friends and family.
I plan on staying away until the situation is resolved legally or otherwise.

I don't have a Facebook account of my own, otherwise I would. When I have to, I use my wife's.

Sounds like an 'eww' situation.

 

What, is he holding it for ransom?? Or, is he just pissed at the owner?

 

I have no idea, if it was a falling out or what. I hate forum drama altogether. It’s just too bad this stuff has to happen. I didn’t post there, but a large portion of internet searches led me there, which is what prompted the OP.

 

I posted there a few times and also found it to be a great source of information on straight razors.

One time after replying to a thread about how nice the OP straight razor was, I was scolded by the moderator for violating their rules. Thou shall not click on “reply” to posts with pictures. I quickly ran back to The Shave Den!

 

It is a good source of information but all my posting is done here at TSD. These days it seems the dark side is growing and we have some very knowledgeable dark lords to gain knowledge from.

My skills with straights is due to my membership and all the people that helped, encouraged me and answered all my questions.
