I wonder if somehow mixing "old" Palmolive and "new" Aqua Velva somehow caused a gas/preasure build up of some kind like mentos in a coke?

Palmolive was thoroughly rinsed out before the refill. And I mean thoroughly. No idea what it smelled like new but this was a faint, dissipated reek.
