India Pale Ale. Sipping on a Mojo IPA... grapefruit notes are a kick. Not for everyone but a favorite of mine.

    Other nice IPAs
    • Ranger
    • Goose Island
    • Thunderhead
    • Single-Wide
    • Red's Rye PA

    Anyone have a favorite IPA?

During the hot summer months I prefer the watery American Industrial Lagers.

A couple of my favorite IPAs include; Bell's Two Hearted, out of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Summit Brewing's, out of Saint Paul, MN, regular beer is an extra pale ale, but they also make a pretty tasty IPA. All worth a try if they are available in your region.

I have decided to go green with my beer. I am trying to drink local CT brewed beers. Mystic Bridge (cottrell brewing co.) is a good IPA brewed 3 miles from my home. I also recomend any of the dogfish head from MD IPAs 60 90 or 120 minute varieties.

    Sam Adams IPA.
Great Lakes Burning River IPA....LOVE IT!

I have been drinking Leinenkugel's Summer Shandy. It is great on a hot summer day.

Racer 5 IPA is really good, one of my favorite beers. The first time I tried it, it was served on a Horizon Air flight. And for free! I was hooked after that.

Red Hook Long Hammer IPA is what my band and I drink most Friday nights at jam practice. Nice smooth easy drinking beer. Great summer brew.

Dogfish head IPAs are all pretty good. I tried and loved Brew Free or Die's IPA two days ago. Amazing! They only do cans and have a little explanation of why on the carton/case they come in. From SF CA though, so not too green for me:o

I think IPAs are my favorites and having a little higher gravity don't hurt either.:eatdrink047

Years ago while practice firing 105 Howitzers in August at Ft.Stewart Ga, we moved locations and stopped near the fencing. Across the way there was a convenience store and we ran under the fence and bought Ripple in Pagan Pink. That is wine with Sprite basically; the rest is ugly. I am sure the IPA is much better.:happy097

    Harpoon IPA

Tried some Harpoon IPA today. Bought it from my local Food City grocery. It was the only beer that said India Pale Ale on the label, so that's what I got. I liked it. Not a fan of light ales and lagers, but this one was good. I'll probably get it again sometime.

    Thanks for the inspiration!
