We haven't been out of the house a whole lot the past few weeks except the necessities like grocery shopping. My Jeep's been sitting in the garage for almost the whole last month. So today my daughter and I decided to do something I don't think we've ever done. We took the top and doors off and went for a Sunday drive. It's almost 80 degrees here in Vegas so the weather was perfect for it. It was nice to get out of the house for a bit, feel the sun and get some wind in our hair. We thought about doing some off-roading but that's usually safer in a group, except right now maybe it isn't. So we'll save that for a while. We should have some decent weather for the next few weeks here so I'm just leaving the top and doors off until it gets too hot and maybe we'll take a few more Sunday drives.
I take my Jeep and head up to the Santa Cruz mountains on the weekends. Lots of backroads, although many have been paved now. Still some publicly accessible dirt roads and trails, though. Occasionally, I will take a drive down the coast, although the highway gets lots of people on it now.
