    (nothing...)
Only the two photos. Digging deep the photos may have been posted Friday, February 15, 2019, 3:56:52 PM.
    Awaiting further details.
The Toggle with the Ivory bottom - humm. Did Gillette know there was a problem with metal on metal friction and plating loss?

Edit; I responded to the website asking for more info, and dropping a link to this thread. More details as they become available!

Here are some newspapers ads that back up the A-3 Serial Toggles being sold in 56 in Milwaukee.

Besides Gimbals, Reed's pharmacy was selling Toggles in 56.
Before anyone gets their panties in a kerfluffle on the 9 micrometer settings in the ads, the 5 number dial adjuster has half step adjustment settings so a 5 dial with half step adjustments would have a total of 9 settings.

Here is another anomaly on the standard toggle razors. The actual first production and sale dates country wide was in November of 1957 yet all the Toggles around that time frame are all dated D1. So the question is where are the C4 Toggles or did they ship the ones in 1957 with D1 date codes on them.

Someone must have found a bucket full of them Jim. There are sixteen listed on the bay right now! They even have them in both three piece and TTO style.

    Very interesting post Glenn.
Having so many prototypes together it must have come from one of the design engineers - or did a Gillette employee find them in the bottom of a filing cabinet? I'd love to hear the story behind these razors.
