Recently I received a new soap to me from HowToGrowAMoustache.com called Synergy Shaving Soap. The soap is contained in a CD tin that allows for a wide opening to easily run the brush across to catch the soap. The soap I chose was Bay Rum. When I opened the tin, the scent was nice and sweet. I am not very strong at describing scents, there are others who are far better at that, but what I can tell you is what I like. This is a product I like. It creates a good solid lather that is easy to generate and provides good slickness and cushion. Overall a good solid product that I would endorse.

Here are the ingredients: Kokum Butter, Organic Mango Butter, Organic Cocoa Butter, Organic Avocado Oil, Organic Pumpkin Oil, Organic Castor Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oil, Organic Neem Oil, Safflower Oil, Glycerine, Purified Water, Sodium & Potassium Hydroxide,Soy bean protein, Chaulmoogra Oil, Aloe Extract, Maca Root, Yellow Dock Root, Essential Oil [Unless Scent Free].

Here was a recent shave that was not shown in SOTD.

Yes, the "Motor Mouth of the South" (that would be me) will fill this weeks and next weeks show. :scared007:

I liked the Bay Rum so I went and bought some of the Unscented and some of the Lime. I look forward to using them.

I recently picked up the Cavandish. The scent is just perfect (strong and natural smelling) and the puck lathers practically by just looking at it. Good stuff indeed.

That's funny, I didn't even catch on to it! Haha, I look forward to listening to it tomorrow morning.

Sounds like I need to pick up a puck or two and see what all the hub-bub is about.

You should also probably pick up some of the SRD (straight razor designs) house brand which is similarly strongly scented and lathers like a dream.

I have a particular interest in the Cavendish or Lavender Cedarwood. It seems like it's a better bargain than Petal Pushers Fancies too.

If you like pipe tobacco, you will not be disappointed with the Cavandish. Tho, I do give a caveat if you have sensitive skin. There are a lot of yummy frag oils in that puck and your skin might react b/c of that.

Okay, that's it I'm picking up a few pucks today. Now the question (to myself) is, which after shave and cologne do I want to try and pair with? ;)

Heard part of the Podcast this morning Gary, great stuff! I've seen your name here and on another forum and never really knew your "depth" of review. If you get a few extra minutes, could you either PM or post here a few links on some reviews? It would be most appreciated. Even though I've been wet shaving for quite a few years now, I love looking at others observations on the many areas of our hobby. Thank you!

ON EDIT; I see some now in the brush area, thanks.

Does anyone know if their scents are at least as strong as the Pumpkin 3.14?
