I am on vacation in San Diego and I found this in the Temecula Olive Oil Company store. It comes in a soft black reusable tub, which is nice, and went for 15 bucks. They have another two stores, one in Seal Beach, Ca. and they have a website where you can get their products, mostly obviously olive oil. The listed ingredients are: Olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, safflower oil, glycerin, purified water, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, sorbitol oleate, fragrance oil, oat protein, wheat protein and titanium dioxide. Upon opening the tub, the smell of pomegranate is nice and a bit strong. It whipped up into a nice, thick lather and went on nice and slick, as a good soap should. The smell lingered during the 2 pass XTG / ATG shave with the ball end tech (my September focus razor). The razor felt like it was gliding across my face, and the soap remained slick for both applications. After the shave, my skin felt nice and soft and remained that way after a liberal dose of Aqua Velva Blue. All in all, a nice shave, although it could be debate able whether it's worth the 15 bucks a puck when, at least for me, TSD is just as good. Two things will keep at least one puck of this in the rotation, that it is a local product for me and the tub is kind of nice. TSD, though, remains the go to soap for this guy. As always, ymmv.
Well Hello Hippie !! I live about 20 minutes from the Temecula location. Up until now it was the only one I knew of. I have been wanting to take my wife there for the tasting classes they have there. I didn't know they made shave soap as well as there olive oils and breads. Looks like I will have to bump the trip up from a would like to status, to a will be doing soon status. Thanks for the info and review.
