Black Cavendish is my favourite tobacco mixture, and as a pipe smoker I just couldn't resist to order "Cavendish Black" from The Gentlemans Quarter. This is the first soap from TGQ I have tried and it has been a pleasant acquaintance. The scent is sweet and deep and has several of the characteristics of Black Cavendish, molasses/raisins being the foremost. Unfortunately I don't feel the scent stays with me after the shave, but nonetheless it's so good when you smell it I can't rate it anything but 10! The lather is nice and is easily worked up to a smooth consistency. It is very moisturizing and the goat's milk works wonders for my skin!
I like a cavendish. I will try this due to your review. I like a shave soap or cream scent to not linger too long. I don't want the soap to conflict or adversely impact an EDT I may have on. Unless it is a part of the same scent. which I don't see very often and I don't have any that match. Thanks for the review Tom
I agree. Cavendish Black was my first TGQ soap, and it immediately became my go to soap. The fragrance is manly, and stuck with me for quite awhile. If you can only buy one TGQ soap, this one is it.
