Started 15 days ago with a Merk long handle, cost $31.00, new brush $50.00 another $72.00 on assorted shaving creams, soaps, aftershave lotions, balms, razor blades, Witch Hazel and face scrubs. Cost of 15 shaves $10.93 Almost bought a Merk long handle adjustable today for $55.00 and a Muhle R89 open comb from West Coast but couldn't get through and they were out of the R89 anyways. I think I'll just go ahead and order the Merk. why wait for the R89 to come in. My brother went down to Florida last week and I asked him to bring me back all the DE razors he can find. Did I mention that I asked my friend Larry to do the same. All my friends that I have asked to look around their house for any DE are telling me that they haven't seen those razors in years. (I wonder if they are really my friends) All kidding aside I am really enjoying my morning shaves now and love the quest of searching for the perfect combination for the perfect shave and the Shave Den has been a great help. I have to agree..my friends say the same thing, they haven't seen those razors in years...however, a few of them have really close shaves, so I think they're holding out And, I'm finding that my shave time is the most enjoyable part of my day now. I have a congenital condition that causes me to grow facial hair to rival any man's, and I used to try plucking, tweezing, and waxing because I thought shaving hurt (who knew it was those darn disposable razors and really bad cream in cans causing that effect!) Switched to wet shaving with a DE after some recommendations from -believe it or not- a medical professional. Since then, I have stopped considering all other methods of hair removal. I love it. I get up every day looking forward to my shaves...it's like getting a facial every single day! Best of all, my skin has never looked or felt better!
I agree whole heartedly! I used to hate shaving. I do not have a ton of growth so I used to only save once a week because I hated it so much and i never really looked that bad because of my slow growth rate. Now I shave everyday and I love it I agree that it is the best part of my day.
I have a large hand so it works for me. When I ordered it I wasn't sure if it would be to long. I figured if it was I would simply choke up on the handle. As it turned out it was perfect for me. Best always, Rookie
