I think they're getting Batman turned back around. I'll certainly be looking for this one.

I might go and see it in the theatre.. might wait until DVD though. It does look good though!

Now if they would only do a good movie version of the Riddler. That is my favourite Batman villain right there.

Ive seen em all and Batman Begins was the best.

Indeed! When I saw it I was rather sceptic... "another Bat-movie, Holy Batarangs!" so I was very surprised to see the best Batman flick ever!

Yes. It was a bit of a restart of the franchise, thank god. Christopher Nolan (Memento, Insomnia, The Prestige) is one of my absolute favorite directors. He did a great job of providing a plausible explanation for all those wacky bad-guys that are usually taken for granted in the Batman mythology. One of the very best super hero movies.

From what I've seen of The Dark Knight, it looks like Heath Ledger blows Jack Nicholson out of the water as the Joker. I will see it in the theater and probably come to own the DVD too. As always, I can't wait to see Nolan's next movie.

I am really looking forward to seeing this. So much so that I may actually go to a theater to watch it. I don't think I've been to an actual theater since the Lord of the Rings movies.

can't wait for this. two-face and the joker are two of the most interesting villains/characters.

I don't think I've ever been more excited for a movie in my life. I already have my tickets ordered. I tried to get tickets for the IMAX, but opening day/night is already sold out.

    Perfection!

You think Begins was good? Well, this beat it.

I'm really a Marvel fan - X-Men, Iron-Man - but I'm pretty psyched to see this movie. I'm really more interested in Heath Ledger's Joker than Batman, and I have been since the first info about the movie came out, before he died. I haven't seen Batman Begins yet, but I have it at the top of my Netflix Queue.

I watched it on IMAX today :1respect:1respect:1respect

If you haven't seen it yet, you have to go to an theater that has an IMAX room.

Don't go to a regular room

I saw a Star Wars in IMAX. I say if you can the highest, rear most seats, go for it. We were down in front and all we saw were huge chins and it was easy to miss action on one part of the screen while watching another part.

I don't know what the impact on quality is, but only about 20 minute of The Dark Knight was filmed at full IMAX resolution. The rest was standard widescreen.

I haven't seen it (yet), but given Nolan's work on Batman Begins I'd see this in any format!

Well if you follow the comics, especially Year One, Nolan's interpretations are the most accurate as far as that world goes, and the comics are so brilliant it follows that the movies would be much better than previous efforts which pretty much disregarded the entire legacy and legend of Batman.
