Last November, I bought a couple of TGQ's shave creams. They turned out to be really nice, but the subject of this post is the sample of their soap that was sent along with them. I'd finally gotten around to trying it, after having been using the collection of PC soaps that have been my main soaps. This stuff is really nice. The fragrance is called 'Tambotti Wood' or something like that, and it is a very rich and full scent. This is a non-tallow based formula, but it lathers every bit as well as the PC tallow soap. It is a tad pricey, but it gives a wonderful shaving experience. The wife always comments about how great I smell afterwards, and the lather gives me a smooth and comfortable shave with very little irritation. I am still working on my lather building technique, and with my shaving technique in general, but I still rate this stuff very highly. It really is a luxurious shave, with the wonderful scent and great lather working together. I am ready for anything after that.
