The Haul: February 4th - February 10th, 2008

Starting a little early because I have to finish a paper.

Man, after a whole year of TSD, I never get tired of seeing all the goodies people get. So what did you get this week?

 

OK, I'll lead off.

I decided I would like to start rotating a straight razor into my shave ritual and have managed to pick up a couple of nice razors, but I've been patiently waiting for the opportunity to pick up something that Bill had worked on.

That opportunity finally arrived and I snagged this really nice Lutz razor -

I'm still green as a gourd, using a straight. But I've learned enough to recognize a really nice straight shave and this razor did better than that. I used it this evening and was astonished at how well it shaved. We all know how DE blades have different 'personalities' and I've discovered straights are the same. And the personality on this guy is really friendly, but business-like.

Personally I am trying to cut down on the consumables in the shave den (there that's my computer background bleeding through a bit). Don't quite understand where y'all manage to find space for all of the weekly hauls in your shave dens. I haven't bought a bottle of cologne or after shave in approximatly a month, don't imagine that I will for a while now until I can get through some of the existing consumables.

 

Don't know about others but I dig holes in the garden and bury the stuff in plastic bags ::

I guess I am a bit envious haven't had the space for anything new in a while yet.

 

jb - Arrange your stuff in small storage containers and then rotate your selections.

 

...and get one of these chinese table-trays on rolls too, so you can rotate the stuff more efficiently

 

That would work, except the Mrs would think that I have finally taken leave of my senses.

I got a nice Dr Harris soap today - a puck of Marlborough.. Very classy scent.. Mmm I like :drool

And a sample of C&E Sienna EdT.. Smells nice as well..
