Found these today in Marietta, OH. I also found a couple "almost's" - 3 pucks of Colgate shave soap, but the boxes and soaps were disintegrating; and a beautiful Khaki set, with a 1 1/2 inch crack in the handle.
Ohh.. Wow! I must befriend him. Hahaha just kidding, but that handle is just awesome. Congrats and very generous of Him.
I stopped into one of my favorite antique shops today and picked up the following for a good price. The Ronson has an NOS blade in a the case. The Rubberset brush is a great candidate for a restore. The Schick is a G-3. And I think the find of the day is the Filarmonica
very nice finds, have you been scoping these out a while, our happen to find all these goodies art once? great score.
Funny..so much good stuff in that photo but the one thing I focused on was the old Rubberset Great haul!
Ahh...new year, new purchases. Got my knots from TGN today. Found a tin/glass shave mug. I'm assuming these were meant to hold hot water in the tin cup and warm lather in the insert? I probably won't use it but definitely clean and polish then put on display. And a Friedmann & Lauterjung's straight with box. Also notice the box says "Electric Razor $2.50" ?? There's no way I could even think about doing a No Buy 2016. I can't even do a No Buy month! I do plan on getting a couple of my straights sent out to be cleaned/repaired and honed so I can finally use them.
Received this a few days ago. It's interesting - I have a number of NF brushes in that style of handle - but they they are all different in some way - height, proportions, etc. I wonder if that is by design or a result of Peter making these by hand. Doesn't matter in a way as they are all fantastic Some similar looking NFs (the one above is #2 from the right):
