This wonderful brush was gift from the brush maker Nameless Works (https://www.instagram.com/nameless_workx/). He gave away this brush on the Tobin Fetters YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@Tobins_throwbacks).

I am really at a loss for words -- this brush feels great in the hand, is a joy to look at, and has a wonderful G5C synthetic knot that looks and feels like premium badger.

 

I am fan of my Henson V2 mild in the plain aluminum finish, and I jumped at the chance to pick up the Dr Squatch edition of the razor at a big discount.

The Dr Squatch logo is etched into the top cap, but you hardly see it unless the light hits right, so it's rather subtle. The deep forest green color is a matter of taste, but my wife's first reaction was "Oooh! I love the color!", and I like it, too.

Maybe my taste in comics as a kid is an influence:

 

Thursday’s mail call is from Maggard Razors and Pasteur Pharmacy. From MR I got Eleven Organic Sweet Orange shave soap and aftershave as well as Captain’s Choice Lime soap and splash. From PP I got Epsilon’s Amber shave soap as well as Mint soap and aftershave.

The 1805 scent: A fresh oceanic fragrance with top notes of Bergamot, Mandarin and Cardamon, combined with a Lavender, Geranium and Clary Sage heart resting on a Sandalwood, Cedar Wood and Musk base.
