I got home from work today and had a couple packages waiting for me...

I picked these up last week on ebay.

I can't wait to try them out. The biggest decision will be which one is first.

Is that 4711 I see above the Sir? :signs002:

Does it have the 4711 scent?

It is 4711, but not quite the same as the cologne of today. This has a heavy leather with a hint of medicinal to it. I just put a little on my finger to check it out, added a little water and rub my fingers together...instant, slick lather. This might be the first of the bunch I try.

Any idea as to the age of the product Tony?

I am not for sure. I have been searching to try to find out.
If I had to guess, I would say 20's or 30's from the style and design of the packaging.

    Nice find! :happy088:
Also nice to know that even old creams can still be great.
    Is that usually the case?

    Happy shavings!

The queen made a delivery today. And very quick, too. Thanks for that Joanna.
I already started to regret my vow not to use any mentholated product until this would arrive...
It is going to be a very Menthol Thursday for me :)

blanka I will not eat my shaving products. Promise.

Got home to find these babies waiting for me, a Gem G-bar, Gem Blades and Schick Injector! I've never tried an SE before, so I'm looking forward to it. I must say, the G-bar is a substantial-feeling piece of metal. Thanks to Latherman87 for the great trade.

Picked up this Georgetown G5 Scuttle in our B/S/T from blanka, and he was kind enough to include some vintage Gillette blades, and a Super Iridium for me to try out.

    Thanks blanka!

This next superfluous purchase I blame on all the enablers, Steve, Bob, Scott, Jeff and everyone else that rants about this brush here at TSD, a Vulfix Grosvenor 404 badger/boar mix.

Now this shockingly good brush cost me less than $20.00 USD shipped, all the way from England, and it arrived in 7 business days!

Speaking of enablers, thanks Bill. I just hit Diamond Edge Ltd's web site. Ordered the Vulfix Pure Badger travel brush, seen below. Used their 10% off coupon code HSHTEN (good on their Simpsons and Vulfix brushes only according to where I found the code) and reduced it from £14.90 to £12.42 for a total of £14.92 or $23.40 shipped. So basically got free shipping with the coupon code.
