The Haul: January 30th - February 5th, 2012

Man...GDC you have been a busy boy....Those 6 SS's all look like new...I'm surprised they are not all history by now and someone is'nt knocking on the door asking to take your Sheraton out to dinner....lol

Guess cats are just not aware of their availability....And take my advice...Don't let your Sheraton dine with any Jazz musicians...They just might keep her out late, til after their morning shave....

 

I still have 4 of the SSs available. Like some of my other razors that could be released, I just have not been pushing. Other things come up or I am just not as motivated as I should be. As for the dining...

 

I have that same pewter handle ... it was re-knotted with a TGN synthetic. One of my favorites!

 

I know I have seen your posts in sos the green marvey mug looks cool as well.

 

Here is the reason why I discussed the Sheraton that required more work first, because I received another one this week that was in a box and did not require a lot of work to polish up. This one is remaining in my collection.

 

I have been busy today with the cleaning process. Here is a Gillette New.

 

Got Cade Shave Soap and C O Bigelow Shave Cream today. My experience with soaps/cream is very limited. Tried the Bigelow tonight and loved it. Will use the Cade tomorrow.

 

That is a beautiful razor!

I had a dovo (but have since sold it) very nice razor, im sure it will perform very well.

Is it possible to date a NEW head without the handle?

 

Yes I did. I did not care for it at all and under the recommendation from Aaron I decided to try an Omega boar, and I'm glad I did. Totally different experience than from the LE I had.

 

That's good to hear you found a good boar. I came really close to grabbing that LE.

 

No, because it was uniform and uncoded from 1929 until the production ceased in 1941.
