The Haul: July 2018

This one is a beauty. Nice find.

 

Not new, have had it for awhile in its original avocado green. Some cheap red acrylic and a couple coats of clear enamel later...

 

Another package arrived from @Jrdelgado today. A cased Gillette single ring, a Gillette Gold Tech case which I need and will be one of my projects. A Gillette Old Style which has a cracked handle, but that can be replaced with a spare I have after removing it's ball end. A Gillette Goodwill and engraved blade bank along with a Maggard grey V3 head on a heavy brass handle.

A jar of "Dirty" shave cream from Lush. This was a gift from my daughter, for my birthday.

I tried the Sputnik this morning in my 1959 flair tip. Very nice blade. Similar to Voskhod only a wee bit smoother.

How does it compare to Avon Leather? Or is it more like English Leather?

I know nothing of Avon, personally. It's like English Leather, though sweeter.

Don't tell anybody, but I am on a first name basis with the staff at my Lush boutique in Colorado. Things to try are bath soap, deodorant (great for feet, too), moisturizers. My wife also loves the store and the products.

My daughter loves that place. We brought home a bar of hand soap that had a real lemon fragrance but I can't remember the name. It smells like fresh lemonade in the summer! Nice!

 

I like the active charcoal and lemongrass men's soap very much.

 

Have heard other people say the same thing about Eskimo Tuxedo, must be if too much menthol is added it takes away from the scent. Have a sample of Iced Pineapple I haven't tried yet but smells nice, curious to see how the iced compaires to the glacials.

 

You really need to try Avon Leather ... it's one of my favorites.

From a Latin store, smells like a cross between Special Reserve and my favorite, Coty Wild Woods. Made in Miami U.S. too. Scent lasts awhile, worth $10 (27 oz is a lifetime supply).



Soothing aloe? Gotta try that.



Never saw the long black Pakistani TTO before. And there's something odd about the open comb, I'll post on it later. $20 for all four.
