Just got this in... 1940s military issue Gillette Tech set, mint, new old stock - so NOS in fact that it was picking up dust and lint as can be seen on the plastic case. Plastic handle and guard, metal head cap. Un-opened "Camouflage Package" blades...
Got a nice haul today all the way from India: three boxes of Godrej Menthol Mist. Emphasis here is on the word "boxes," as there certainly ain't no shaving cream in them. That's right, three crushed and empty boxes. I'm so mad right now...
I couldn't help but laugh at that one. I'm sorry bro for the empty promises you received, but next time just order your Godrej from Shaveabuck and save any headaches for other things.
I feel your pain. After ordering a few things from India myself last year, some of which were modern Gillette branded razors for my collection, and it arriving damaged... no more.
It's just so weird- I've had stuff not show up, and I've had stuff show up broken...but never had something show up and not show up at the same time...what happened there? I'm almost more willing to believe it was a prank instead of a screw up
Awhile back, I sent a blade sampler to Mao / Haviv in Israel. Today, I received from him a giant tube of Mem Olive Shave Cream as a thank you. Thanks Haviv!
That's supposed to be some good stuff there. I always wanted to order a tube but never got around to it and now Shaveabuck doesn't list it on his site anymore.
Congrats Jeff! Use it in good health! I love that shave cream. It has a peranent place in my bathroom! Personally my favorite aspect is the slightly green lather! 2
Keeping inline with my "collect all things vintage Palmolive".. from the late 1920s to early 1930s (based on the "stripes" design and the Colgate-Palmolive-Peet Co. full name)... 6 inches tall by about 2.25 inches wide. About half full of the the original talc.
