Hah! Hadn't thought of that. Never really noticed or cared about the dots myself.

A surprise package from @Linuxguile brightened my day! It included a GEM Micromatic Open Comb. There has been a lot of use of MMOCs around The Den this month and I'm happy to give it another try. Thanks, Andrew!

I haven't been around TSD much lately, but my BAD hasn't eased. The top brush is M&F's version of the Tulip. According to previous owners, Lee didn't make a lot of this handle style and this one has the Heritage 3 band hair. It's dense and has the backbone and scrub of a 2 band (I didn't expect that, but I like it). The bottom is a PK-47 Harlequin with the 2CLSD knot. I now have the CSLD and CLSD. I thought I was prepared for the beauty of the Harlequin, but this handle exceeds my wildest imaginings. My crappy camera and modest photography skills do not show it adequately. Blades ordered
Personna 72-0200 Double Edge Pathology Blades x 100.
Waiting for them to ship them out to me.

This confirms I have SAD, RAD, and BAD.
But this one looked so cool I gota try it out.
    YEA!
    Just a thought, I don't realy need 100 blades for this...or do I???

Better focus on this shot of the Harlequin. Still not perfect but better. I really should get a new camera. RSCN2226[1].JPG

Great razors the MMOC. Give it several shaves if you don’t get it right off.

Two nice finds today. A 8x2 boxed Norton (HB-8) Hard Arkansas and a 5 x 2 1/2 coticule followed me home from the market. An additional Coti layer started to form in the middle of the BBW but did not quite get there

Now that it's too late, may I suggest ordering one or two blades from tryablade.com? You know, stick a toe in the water before you dive in head first?

    Thank you!!
But that would not satisfy my RAD!
Seems I have a bad case of it.

From an estate sale 1950's "Lord Riam" complete electric razor set. Made in Switzerland. Uses 2 D batteries and is quite hefty at 15.28 oz. Small shaving head at only 1.5 inches. Hey what can I say. I just really thought the box was quite snappy looking. IMG_8870 (1).JPG IMG_8876 (1).JPG IMG_8874 (1).JPG

Let's be honest... you can't say that a device uses D batteries without also using words like "quite hefty".

Agreed. I thought a Stahly was hefty, but that machines power source is solid.
