Ok, aside from all the complaining about this season moving slow, I'm still a huge fan of this show. Next week it all comes to and end. Anyone else following this? Any predictions?
With everything going down, Paulie does seem a little too at ease. Let's not forget Patsy Parisi a few seasons ago, standing in Tony's back yard with a gun... obviously there may still be some bad blood there. I'll be glued to the TV Sunday night. It's good to have HBO in HDTV
Watched it last night. Nothing like graphic violence hitting you right up front. Tony's not smart enough to win this type of situation. He's out gunned and out classed. He's either going to have to get really lucky, which I doubt, dead and Paulie makes a deal for whatever is left or he goes into the witness protection program but he knows better than anyone that you can't hide forever. They "will" find you.
My wife wanted to watch it with me at Satin Dolls, aka The Bada Bing! club. Unfortunately, the babysitter canceled and I had to go it alone. What a lousy ending for such a classic series.
That was not an impressive ending. They could at least have used a regular like Paulie, or even Patsy, to off that a**hole Phil!
It ended like it should of. Life goes on, everyone is still screwed up and they're just another slice of American pizza, heavy on the violence. Funerals happen and for them a lot but a pan of baked Ziti makes you forget your troubles for at least a little while. You either loved or hated this ending but you have to say they did it their way and they kept it true to their vision. The mob shrinks each day, just like Little Italy, and generations of psychotic gangsters are still to come but eventually, the mob will fade to black.
