It was ten years ago today that I shaved for the last time with a disposable cartridge razor. My wife gave me an EJ DE89 for Christmas and I was off to the races. I have not touched a cartridge since. I found you guys soon after and developed many acquisition disorders. I am close to retirement and have hundreds of razors to catalog, clean, restore, and use. I’m good for the rest of my life due to your enabling The last ten years have been fun hanging around the best forum on the Internet. I have been busy and not posting much, but still hang out in the rafters. Merry Christmas!
Congrats on ten years of awesome shaves! I just found my EJ DE89 as I'm still finding the remnants of my collection. Brought back memories of the first ever 30DC when I used that to learn to shave with. Very nice razor, good for beginners and still gives great shaves. As for the acquisition disorders, I'm finding myself thinking of filling in gaps in my collection. Thought that addiction was over. Maybe, maybe not.
Merry Christmas to you and your Bride, Brian, and congrats on your tenth DE shaving anniversary! Kathy and I are thankful for your long-time friendship, my friend. Judging from your avatar, you're no worse for wear now than you were 10 years ago. You looked rough then, and you've pretty much held you own since that time. This no doubt results from a combination of improved shaves and the daily skin pickling effect of Clubman aftershave. Too bad the hair transplant and jowl lift didn't take. On the bright side, you have a little more surface area to refine your shave technique. Don't forget to streeeeeeeeeetch the skin. When you retire, are you gonna go thought that 5-gallon bucket of razors you snagged a few years ago?
Thank you Charlie. I should probably update my Avatar. I look like Santa Claus now with a full white beard. Much less to shave. Have a wonderful Christmas and give my best to Kathy.
