Hey all! So, the wife and I recently became owners of a timeshare... thing is, I don't fully understand how it all works. I've been browsing around the RCI site to try and figure out what the deal is, how to exchange it, weeks vs points, and whatever else there is. Does anyone own one? Can you give me some more info on the details of how it all works? Any reliable info would be awesome! back story: No, we didn't buy one and just not know anything about it. My wife is previously married. He passed away about 5 years ago. He was married before her. He and his first wife bought a timeshare. In the divorce my wife thought that she got it. Just last week the resort send us a letter with an enclosed deed saying that they had finally fully researched it and the timeshare was given to him in the divorce, and as such passed to my wife when he passed away. They're not going to charge any of the back maintenance fees, we just get to pick up paying on it next year (or we sell it obviously).
