Day 14 November 20th Supply ‘2 dot’ SE w Schick Proline APShave flattop/ Sapele Mike’s Orange, Cedar & Pepper Thayers Dior Eau Sauvage Shaved Saturday, but didn’t take a pic. I was out of town for a competition for my daughter. Back in the den this morning, and was treated to a great shave. Love the Supply…my favourite Injector. Have a great day all.
We got a Mike's Marathon going on here. Welcome Robert @Frijolero to the Midnight Mike's Train. All-abord! I weighed my remains and before today's shave, there was 17g of product remaining. As soon as I started to load, the remnants broke up. Pushed them to the center as best I could. Might not make December... Monday, November 20 Mike's Vetiver~~Semogue SOC Taj Resin Boar~~Lo Storto Originale/Sharp Star~~Tom Ford Grey Vetiver
Day 15 November 21st Supply SE w Schick Proline Omega Pro/ Walnut & Brass Mike’s Orange, Cedar & Pepper Thayers Stirling Autumn Glory The brush dropped a few hairs this morning. The good news, Clint and Joseph, is that they weren’t the nice black ones… Have a great day all.
Tuesday, November 21 Mike's Vetiver~~Simpson H4~~Gillette Pre-War USA Tech/Sharp Star~~Tom Ford Grey Vetiver The "Mike's" ship is sinking fast. The ocean is sucking it down to Davey Jones' Locker. (I should ® this phrase) Still, it will produce a beautiful lather until it is no more. The Tech is such a simple---yet terrific tool. Loaded with a smooth 'n sharp blade, it'll shave as good as any razor. The Grey Vetiver is breathing its last breaths as well...
Wednesday, November 22 Mike's Vetiver~~Vie-Long Beehive~~Gillette Tech/Sharp Star~~Tom Ford Grey Vetiver I just realized how mundane my SOTD photos are... Great shaves, however.
I am running behind on posting and such. The Mike's soap is going sinking pretty fast with roughly 30 grams remaining. All the girls are home and it is nice catching up with them. To those that celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful thanksgiving.
Day 16 November 22nd Canadian New Deluxe w Polsilver (1) APShave Silvertip/ MrEE LE #007 Mike’s Orange, Cedar & Pepper Thayers Myrsol F extra Not only did Evan make these awesome brushes, he replated this cool razor, too. Have a great night all.
Thursday, November 23 Mike's Vetiver~~Simpson X3~~Gillette Tech/Sharp Star~~Tom Ford Grey Vetiver Reaching the end of the soap. Last shave with this blade. Still smooth and pretty sharp. Buffing galore.
Wow, time flies! I did an Evelyn would speed reading review of the last 10 or 15 pages since I last posted. Great to see @mrchick and @Norcalnewb posting along here as well. While I have 3017’d several partial and/or used soaps, I finally obliterated my full tub of B&M 42 from start to finish. This took decidedly longer than I expected. My next victim I’ve been working on is Grooming Dept., Tao. It’s supposed to connote some sort of Zenlike Japanese vibe with its scent, but all I smell is seaweed. I call it “weed line“ because it smells very much like the line of seaweed you look for when fishing for offshore Sailfish, Marlin and Mahi. I’m not sure how many days in a row I want to smell like the “weed line“ so I haven’t decided if this will be an every day experience all the way up to the end. Time will tell. Also, the minute I mentioned “weed line“ or seaweed I’m almost positive Charlie’s fingers are flying across his keyword searching for ridiculous gifs to post. Don’t let me down brother!
To those that celebrate, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with family and friends. I'm thankful to count you all as my friends - even our very own Monarch of Mar-a-Lago and Prince of Palm Beach, @BaylorGator. Kathy and I shared the day with dear friends and their extended family. Food, more food, games, football and hot tubbing were on today's agenda. I'm making progress on my Mike's Hungarian Lavender 3017. I mowed down three days of growth this morning for near BBS results. Mike's is one of my all-time favorite soaps as it performs very well and doesn't smell like seaweed or Clubman.
I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving... I was working. Korea's Thanksgiving holiday was back in September. The Tabac shaves continue, this is great stuff and the shaves have been excellent. This week apperances were made by an Iwasaki straight, 2011 R41 and a Tedalus shavette. The Tadalus replaced the Feather DX as my favorite shavette, I do enjoy using this razor. and now a stank update in honor of the best-smelling Tenor...
