    IIRC, a few years ago, I got 40-something shaves out of a Star loaded with a Voskhod and they all were great shaves.

    Nice find! I have the same razor in a hard plastic travel case. I use an Astra SP blade. Fairly mild, much like a Tech (imagine that!).

    Nice find. I have one (no etching) and really enjoy it. For me, it's a tad bit more aggressive than a Tech but still a wonderful shaver. In fact, think I'll use mine tomorrow

    What a pair! Loaded a Voskhod into the Star. It was like wiping the stubble away. I found it to be super smooth, more so than my pre-war Tech. No aggression at all. Alum after showed no sting.

    The vintage soap worked very well too. Slick, easy to whip up. I don’t know a lot about this one. I have some vintage Colgate and Williams, but I will have to research the Colgate/Palmolive one to see how old it is.

    BBS 3 pass shave. Nice!!!

    The Gem/Star 3 piece is my favorite vintage DE.I have 2 of them without the etching.On my list is one of the silver/chrome Stars.A damn fine underrated piece of equipment.
