    Yeah I considered those but wondered if they'd function just as well or simply be gimmicks. Any comments from your experience?

    I think it works just fine. As I said, it feels better (i.e. my teeth feel cleaner.)

    I use a Sonicare toothbrush for two reasons. First, if you simply place the toothbrush against your teeth it will help clean even if you are not using the proper technique. It does some of the job for you. Second, it has a timer so I know how long I should brush as opposed to merely guessing.

    I buy my daughter inexpensive disposable battery operated toothbrushes. However, it seems to me that by the time the batteries die, the brushes also need replacement, so I just buy another one.

    The battery operated tooothbrush I use has replacable brush heads.
