I have come to love my Schick injector (M27 model), and I would like to take it on my next vacation trip. It's such a slim razor that it would easily fit into a toiletry case, but there is the problem with the blade. I bought a plastic razor cover from Amazon that looked like it would work (designed for women's disposable razors), but it's really bulky. Back when I traveled with disposable razors, I just put the little plastic snap cover over the blades. I found an old disposable razor in the bottom of a drawer and tried the snap cap on my injector. The overall size is right, but there is no way to make it stay in place. I suppose I could use a rubber band. Does anybody have a clever solution to protecting the blade of an injector while traveling?
That's how I keep the blade guard on my Gillette Guard when I travel. Not very elegant, but it works. I like Jody's solution better though. I'll have too look for those.
GDCarrington posted a thread on making one from an eyeglass case here: http://theshaveden.com/forums/threads/prototype-razor-case-diy-project.29004/ I borrowed his idea only i went a little simpler by cutting some foam to fit into the top half. It extends down just far enough to hold the razor and blade injector in place. Sorry I haven't taken any pics yet
