Anyone know of any good travel soap shave dishes? I am actually looking for a good travel kit. One that holds razor, blades, brush, soap dish

bullgoose shaving supply has nice empty tins with a screw on top that work well for travel and soap storage.

Used to travel with the small size Proraso tubs, but now I use a Tabac stick

I agree with Teiste that it's much more convenient to use a stick, when on the road :D

I love the ease of shave sticks. I've only tried La Toja though. I's real fast, compact and I know would travel well. But if you have a favorite soap, it's not pretty but, tupperware is the best thing. No chance of it opening up in bag. Col. Conk has glycerine soaps that come in plastic containers that kinda snap shut.

But depending who you're bringing back to the hotel room when traveling, maybe it's someone you would want to impress a little? You might want something a little snazzier. This is my everyday soap holder. http://www.amazon.com/dp/B002DOA556/?tag=thshde-20 It's just big enough for mitchells wool fat shaving soap. Still pretty compact. To hold a brush I have this guy for travel purpose, used to be my everyday.

I like the look of wood over plastic, but you could always go plastic for a brush stand.

Oh and if you are still a mach 3'er. This is one that is cheap enough to travel with without stressing about damage/loss http://cgi.ebay.com/Black-Chrome-ME...%2BUA%2BFICS%2BUFI&otn=10&ps=63#ht_2523wt_824

I was hoping to find something pretty close to the regular plastic soap dish, but this just gives me a reason to try a shave stick and maybe get a travel brush lol. I can always just try a new soap in closed tin or some of the tsd soaps in their containers.

I'd add that when getting shave sticks that a container or holder makes them much cleaner to use. It doesn't need to be anything fancy, even the little plastic ring on the Speick stick works to keep soap off your hands and you can just remove the wrapper. That was the worst part of the first Arko Stick I used, the wrapper looked nasty after a few uses. I smashed the arko stick into a bowl which worked, but a stick in a holder or container is really the best for travelling. Some guys like it so much they use sticks all the time.

I use a plastic container with snap on lid with I travel it has a Williams puck in it and stll enough room to load the brush to face lather. I just got back from a little two night trip. Had my travel bowl of williams a synthetic brush.(. that I carry in a medicine bottle). and my favorite travel razor the G3 1912 Gem. (in the brown case). This works well for me. packs nicely in the end of my my tote bag. I got really nice shaves from that setup.

here is the link to the one I used. It is the half cup size.

Some people like the glass bowls.. I break things too much to travel with those.

I use a 14 oz. Rubbermaid round plastic bowl with a snap lid. It easily holds 3 VDH cakes (melted) and never becomes unsealed when I am carrying it in my travel bag.

That is a lot of soap and packing space for a travel kit is it not?
