Triangle Straight Razor Group Get-Together for Honing

We had a honing get together with 5 of us from our Triangle area of North Carolina straight razor group. We met in this great room at the Carolina Brewery near Pittsboro, North Carolina. We had a waitress dedicated to us the whole almost 5 hours we were there. We told her a bit about razors and honing.

Some Shaptons, Nortons and Naniwas were in use along with a barber's hone and an Escher finisher. We had some touchup benchtops with CrOx, FeOx, diamond, CBN and lots of strops.

No one took me up on trying lapping film.

 

Awesome !!! There honestly is nothing better then getting together around a table full of Friends, Stones, and Razors

 

...throw in some pizza & beer (or soda), and that's it!

I had down east barbecue pork and sweet tea, but they do make their own beer there as well.

 

Glen, your name was mentioned a bit, as well as Lynn's. James, the guy looking at the razor had a razor restored by you. The guy in the Hawaiian shirt also had a razor restored by you and of course I've had a few restored by you and many more honed by you.
