Trouble posting pictures with forum threads

    Every time I try to upload a picture as part of a thread, it says the picture file is too large. Help please? I want to show off my new gear.

    Either reduce the size of the picture, or use a photo hosting service, like Photobucket or flicker. I personally use photobucket when I'm trying to upload large pictures or if I need to show something in full detail. If you use photobucket, click on the "copy direct link" then come back to the shave den, right click and paste it into the upload photo dialog box.

    I think the max size is about 1 Mb (I keep my pics smaller than that, mostly 700 x 525 pix).

    Im taking photos with my phone ....how do i reduce thesize???

    Depending on your phone & apps, you can crop/resize pictures on your phone, but this is what I do:
    1. Upload your pic to www.postimage.org
    2. Select size you want ("message boards")
    3. copy the "direct link" from the results
    4. Paste into TSD post in the format (w/o spaces):
    [ IMG ] link [/ IMG]
