To each his/her own as far as Pre-Shave Oils are concerned....I don't go without them.

Quite a few of them out there which are "commercially" produced are downright lousy for a myriad of reasons, but I found one that is a standout and works well....with one caveat: the price.

I found the consistency of this oil mix to be light, slippery, and unobtrusive (doesn't cling to skin). Provides a nice layer of protection from the blade.

The "delivery" of the product could be better, as the pour spout is the widest I've ever seen for a pre-shave. I usually just cover the spout with a finger then dab and smear on the beard. Works well that way, but could be better I suppose.

    Product Features
    • Increases shave comfort to help eliminate nicks and bumps. Helps achieve a "barber shop close" shave
    • Rinses easily from face, razor and sink. Does not clog pores or razor
    • Great for men with heavy beards and sensitive skin
    • Energizing, refreshing scent
    • Helps to repair skin - with moisturizers, conditioners and an antioxidant - the pre-shave oil not only increase shave closeness and comfort but helps to heal and repair skin

I don't use preshave anymore, I used to on every shave. When I switched to DE and eventually to straight, I don't find the need for it.

Of the ones I did try, this one is by far the best. The oil is much thinner in consistancy and a little goes a long way. Has a nice citric scent to it and the blade glides nicely right over it. Superior to the AOS oil, which is pretty much it's direct competition on the retail shelves at places like Nordstrom, etc. The only negative is the price.

I agree fully with the previous user. I had a sampler of this and am currently using the AOS stuff, and I think the T&H is far superior. The AOS is too think and greasy (but it does smell better).

The T&H oil is great, lives up to the description, and is really effective. However the price is unbearable!
