Strange I know but looking at the map and seeing where everyone lives, I see how many people live inland away from the coast, and of course why wouldn't they.

It's only strange to me because I have lived all my life on the coast except for my years in the UK and I can't imagine not living by the coast if that makes sense.

But now that I suddenly find myself looking for a new job in the mining industry, and most of our mines being in very remote areas of the country, I'm trying to imagine what that may be like to actually live inland without being able to see water. Yeah stupid I know!
