My TSR Shavemac LE 2016 M7 D01 3 Band Fan arrived today and I've taken a few pics of it.

It's now going to be stored away until Chistmas Day as it a present to myself in honour of my late father who would have heartily approved of the brush. [IMG]

I've taken a comparison photo of it next to a Simpsons M6 TSN LE, M&F L7 and a Cadman L7 brush. It really is one very sweet brush indeed. :)

Love the brush. Could you post a pic of it after a few uses? I know the D01 knot is dense, just curious if it blooms any. Awesome handle!

Thank you for the kind words guys and apologies for the delay in responding to them - I've been away for a couple of weeks. :)

@Hillbilly79 - I'm not going to be able to use it until Xmas day as it's all packaged up until then.

My previous experience with a D01 3-band fan-shaped knot of a similar size would suggest that it will demonstrate some significant bloom as the pictures below show (the first two brushes from the left have similar profiles):

Wow! That knot really opened up!

Christmas will be here before you know what happened.

You seem to be a little more familiar with Shavemac knots than me. Do most of the Silvertip knots have hooked tips? I only have one, a 18mm, set at 36mm in a Rooney 1/1 handle. It's small, but mighty. I does have hooked tips.

My understanding is that the many of the older Shavemacs had hooked tips.

I can't say that I've seen any hooked tip knots in more modern Shavemac brushes unfortunately.

They're still top notch knots though and perform brilliantly. :)

I got my knot last summer. I wasn't sure if the hooks were the norm. Thanks.

It sounds like you lucked out on the knot in your brush mate. :)
