I made these two cases out of Altoids tins for @hins2jw0 as he wanted them for two different types of razors. The one with the blue lining is for a three piece razor. And the one with the red lining is for his Ever-Ready 1914 Little Lather Catcher. I used two of my razors to show how they look............. I also made this extra piece for him to use to cover SE blades that are taken from a dispenser to keep them from moving around. Blades that are cardboard wrapped might not need it, but just in case.............
Thanks Jim!! Looking forward to receiving them and putting them to good use on my next trip!! Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
That's cool Jim. I am traveling tomorrow and will be gone for about a week. I thought I'd keep things simple and just have one setup for the week. Here is what I will be using. Not trying to hijack your thread. I just didn't know where I would put this. I am taking LaToja Stick with my Jayaruh #296 Cholula travel brush. Shaving with my Eversharp H2 Hussy with custom walnut handle and finishing up with my Granddad's Blend After Shave.
Well, they came and I am more than impressed. As you can see, the DE case easily fits two of my newer razors and handles with no problems. Plus the ER-1914 fits like a glove. Thanks again Jim! I think I'll eventually take you up on the offer to redo the Hoffritz / Apollo travel case . Josh Sent from my LYA-L29 using Tapatalk
Glad they worked out. One suggestion tho, have the head positioned with the post going down. Some heads will cause pressure on the blades if in the up position. Could cause the top to close real tight. Do it like you have it in your last picture.
