Each day the shaves get better. The Fat Boy with the Asta blade seems to be a great combo. For newbies a blade sampler pack is a must, that way you find the right blade for your style. I have trying various soaps too. I tried the Col Conks amber today very nice lather. In the past when I was using the disastrous multi-blade, Shave against the grain. I find that now I no longer need to do that. The DE wet shaving is the most luxurious way of shaving. I do not care how multi-blades they put in a razor, a DE blade will out shave it. The DE way of shaving is superior.

I love the Astra in my Slim adjustable.

I heartily endorse the sample pack method. A friend of mine was nice enough to make me a small sample pack when I got started and it has clued me into some nice blades.

Way to go! Glad to hear some great news.

Astra SPs are one of only two blades that I've purchase bulk. The other is the Dorco ST-301s.

I hope you don't mind that I took a little liberty to make an emphasis to the new guys - I couldn't agree more.
