The knot in my old VDH badger finally let go after about 6 or 7 years of occasional use and seeing as it was a bit too floppy for my liking I decided to set it much deeper. It's still not my favorite brush, but it definately has much more backbone. The handle was actually drilled very close to the bottom so only a bit of reaming was required to allow it to be inserted deeper and a 2 part epoxy was used to secure it. I hate to throw anything away. Pic of the deeper seated knot. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
How about setting a nice Omega knot ..... they're relatively inexpensive and will last many years with lots of backbone. Shave forge also has nice knots as well.
I thought about ordering another knot but I was really bored that day and needed something to do, so you can guess how that worked out. I have a nice handle tucked away somewhere that I would like to use so I see a new not arriving in the near future. Sent from my LM-Q720 using Tapatalk
