Here is my set up for my first 30 days. Merkur 34C Gillette Silver Blue WD Silvertip 24mm Glycerin Soap Corn Huskers Lotion for Pre CO Bigelow RazoRock Alum Pinaud Clubman My first shave today and right out of the blocks it was the best shave of my life. I am both very pleased with my first attempt (not cuts or scrapes!) and also very upset. I have been lied to my whole life (thanks big shaving propaganda machines). This to me is the way a man should shave. The sensation, smell, and most importantly the results. Need to work on lathering, but still 1000% better than goo.
Don't get mad..get even..have plenty of great shavesLol glad you're getting the hang..oh and welcome my son to the machine..
Congratulations! I can understand feeling mad at the same time as thrilled with your first shave. Looks like you've got a great set up for getting going!
Yeah, don't get mad. Get good shaves... Glad you landed here. Lots of good information and fun. Do join us in the SOTD HERE.
I will be sure to contribute to SOTD once my 30 day same stuff every day ends. I am sure my upcoming acquisition disorder is going to be kicked up a notch now.
Excellent! You are using the 30 day rule! Oh and one more thing ... Welcome to the Den. We know you'll fit right in. So grab yourself a comfy chair, and give our threads a spin! Burma Shave
It's awesome you got a great shave first time out, same as me. The experience is the treasure, the smooth face the icing on the cake. Welcome to the club!
Think of it this way: The newfound appreciation you have since starting wet-shaving would have been greatly diminished if you hadn't had the other experience. Sometimes one needs to travel the rough road awhile in order to truly appreciate the smooth spots of the journey.
And what's more, now you will begin preaching to your family and friends about how great it is, and what sucks is hardly anyone will believe you.
