Viking's Sword blades

Nothing relaxes me quite like a nice hot shower and a great shave.
The icing on the cake is discovering a fantastic new blade. I'm really loving these Viking's Sword blades. I loaded up one of my vintage Gillette Super Speed razors and the magic began. The results?...a BBS 3-pass shave (with slight buffing) and zero irritation. These blades are definitely added to my favorites list!

 

I concur. The Viking Sword is in my top 3.

Ok. That does it. Well at least this new blade acquisition disorder is less expensive then the brush and razor ones that came before it.

 

At about $0.16/blade shipped (0n 100), the Vikings are definitely in the best bang for the buck category.

I never heard of these blades. What country are they from?

 

You would think Norway or Sweden but no actually Israel. They are made by the same company that makes Israeli Personnas/Crystals.

I'm willing to try these but I doubt they're as good as the American lab Personnas. Lets just hope I am pleasantly surprised.

As I experimented with blades, the Viking’s Sword moved to the top tier for me, just barely below the Personna Med Prep and Gillette Silver Blue. PanChango was kind enough to send me a few to try last year. As stated above, they are an Israeli Personna Super Stainless blade. You can get 100 for $16.20 shipped or 20 for $5.90 shipped. I just finished 5 excellent shaves with one in my Slim set on “6”. All 5 shaves were smooth, close, and nick free. I used a soap, a croap, 2creams, and a stick. As always, YMMV.

They are indeed smooth and sharp blades. I use them almost daily along with the Q-Ball variety.

 

To me they are a whole lot better than the Personna Labs, but as usual, YMMV. The Personna Labs are middle of the road, nothing fancy (on my face).

Follow up:

I just finished my 6th shave with an Israeli Personna Viking’s Sword with my Gillette Slim set on “8” this time. All 6 shaves have been very close, smooth, and nick free. The VS can "Go the Distance". As always, YMMV.

 

Put them on the August list.

 

It's funny. When I install the Viking in my Fatboy I get the worst shaves ever... but load one in my Weber and it's shave heaven. I haven't tried the Slim with a Viking as of yet. I'm too busy enjoying the FABU Gillette Platinum

 

I just love how you happen to be Danish and use a blade named Viking Sword.
