Vintage Butterscotch Simpson restored!

    Not by me mind you - I have to give credit to the folks at Simpsons for this.

    My latest re-knot arrived from them today.

    These are the before pics from the eBay listing

    I don't have any pics of my own as I got it sent straight to Simpsons on the Isle of Man. This is what arrived in my mail box today

    Magnificent, absolutely magnificent!

    Most of the lap black was lost in the polishing out of the scratches but the butterscotch was retain. I have no idea how they managed that. Of course I only paid for teh re-knotting - this just happens!

    I can't wait to try it - pity I have to wait till my birthday in March ...

    Well it was the 'new' restored Simmo having its first run for me this morning with some DR Harris Marlborough - another new one to me.

    Great shave for a first time use of brush and soap. Still a little funky but soft and really nice to use. It is my biggest brush in the rotation as you can see below -

    There is one brush that looks a little out of place ....

    The full rotation line up - if only that Chubby was butterscotch!
