This was an old brush that I got in a trade a few years back. I was off today, so I thought it was the perfect opportunity to get it ready for a new knot. I still haven't decided what knot will go in it. I put a Canadian nickel in the bottom of it so I don't drill into the clear portion the next time it needs a new knot. Also I just watched "The Crown" and it got me liking Queen Elizabeth. Just wanted to share this with everyone.
It says pure badger on the bottom. I hope that doesn't limit your choice for a knot. The Tuxedo would look great in that handle.
It is an awesome synthetic. You can see and buy here: https://www.etsy.com/listing/452188318/24mm-tuxedo-extra-dense-synthetic
The tuxedo is my favorite synthetic knot. I agree it would be a good choice. I love what you did with the handle. It looks gorgeous. The Canadian nickle is going to look extra cool once the knot is permanently mounted. It's going to have some real character. I look forward to seeing the final product.
A tuxedo would look great in that handle! I love the look of that clear and black. Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk
High their, @deezle, Looks like you are new to TSD. Glad to have you. Go here and introduce yourself for a proper welcome. http://theshaveden.com/forums/forums/welcome-center.28/
Thank y'all! The bad news is the tuxedo doesn't come in a 22mm from what I can tell. I'm contacting the seller to see if he plans on getting them in 22 as well.
It looks to me you can open that bore out. The neck has plenty of meat. By the way that is I very nice looking handle. Tom Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Yea I'm thinking about doing that; I just don't want to have it end up chipping out on me. And thank you!
