I just received it today. Its Butterknife Smooooth. The scales are near perfect, and all the plating is excellent. Only two issues.
    1. Dull. easily fixed.
    2. Major water spots, and tarnish. No rust anywhere.

I need advise on the best ways to handle the tarnish and water spots, without taking the scales off.

I cannot help you, but it looks like a fine razor. Best of luck with it.

Jim, I thought you would have recommended Weimans!

Metal polish. Use Maas, Weimans or Mothers Mag Wheel Polish.

If that doesn't work, then start with 000 steel wool and then go to the polish.

I like the scales on that razor.

Autosol is a Good Polish...Used it for Decades on Old Alloy Harley & Triumph Engine Casings & SRs these Days..Just a Wee Story for what its Worth..I Got an SR to Hone Just Last Week from a Guy that had Used Too Much Heat with a Dremel to Restore it & it Had Taken All the Temper Out the Blade..The Edge Kept Crumbling on the Hone & was Only Fit for the Bin..:)

Yep! That'll happen to metal with too much heat. That's a shame.

I've never seen that polish before.
As for the Dremel, I'm very very conservative with it. I use it a little at a time. Only enough to get the metal a little warm.

It's a metal polish. I've heard of it, but never used it. That should work nicely.

Sounds like it's going to entail a lot of elbow grease.

Thanks, the scales are, but the blade is all kinds of stained. Tomorrow's chore.

Well, I worked on The Bull's Eye razor for a few hours. I tried metal polish, but that just wasn't doing the trick. I then used 400 grit Wet/Dry sandpaper this helped a lot.
The pits were deeper than I liked, so I lightly used a Dremel and buffed around, being careful of the heat. That worked well enough. Finally I used some 1500 Grit Wet/Dry paper, to add a little polish to it. I decided not to highly polish it, because the small pits would be more visible, and I didn't want to take any excess metal off.
I then honed it from a dull butter knife edge, to a hair popper, fairly fast. Very easy razor to put an edge on.

That turned out really nice. I am on the lookout for another straight to rehab.

Thanks. I plan on buffing the blade out a little more, so it doesn't show as much of the sanding marks.
It's the scales that are in really good shape. The blade is solid, just needs a tiny bit more attention. 10 minutes with the right equip and I'll be done. At the time, I was just satisfied with the look that I got, and wanted to get to the hones.
