I don't normally buy vintage blades, but could not pass this up. Wade & Butcher double edge blades. A complete retail countertop display with all 24 boxes, not the normal 20. All the boxes are full with one blade in each. W&B DE safety razors and blades were marketed and sold in the early 1900s. As a bonus it came with a wall poster promoting the blades. A rare discovery to find in NOS condition for being around 100 years old
These no. I will me a caretaker of them until I pass them on. I feel these are close to a museum piece due to its rarity. I do have a W&B safety razor with a few packs of blades which I have used. For being 100 old steel, they gave a good shave. I much rather shave with my W&B straight razors
I lifted the pictures from google to show. There are similar to old style three hole Gillette blades. The W&B are slightly wider and the outside holes are rectangular, not round. They both are curved and much thicker than standard DE blades.
I have a few W&B curved blades, and they work great in the Old Type razors. The Wade & Butcher blades look like original Gillette three hole blades except that they are curved. Fit all safety razors in which the blade has to be curved. The blades you have been waiting for -- for your razor. Highest grade steel -- three times as thick -- assuring durability, temper, hardness and keenness. Curved -- They won't crack when clamped.
