I had me some cedar wood soap in the shower, then it was the D.R Harris Marlborough cedar wood based shave soap. Followed up with the same aftershave, before concluding with The Shave Den's Aftershave Milk in cedar wood flavour.
I have been smelling woodsy all day.

In my neck of the woods, east bay inland in NorCal, we don't get the dynamic Fall colors as the season change. We merely get the cooling, mild temps of the seasonal change.
The hills and plains remain golden brown until the rains come and change to a rich green come March. If you look hard for it though, you can find isolated areas of Fall color.

I just returned from Lake Tahoe where the Tahoe basin is flooded with color of the season from all the golden cottonwood and Aspen trees.

My 'woodsy' scent comes mainly from the pre-shave cream I created (made from shea butter, lanolin, almond & jojoba oils), scented with Cedarwood. A great scent! My favorite balm is SAGE-scented (Pre De Provence).

Has anyone tried this? It's Kiss My Face Woodland Pine and Ginseng. Just bought a bottle today and going to try it tonight.

Stirling Ozark Mountain Bath Soap, Stirling Coniferous Shave Soap, and Barbon Aftershave. All "woodsy" this A.M.
    Wednesday

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Ozark Mountain Soap
    Soap: Stirling Coniferous
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Personna Lab (2)
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar
    Aftershave: Barbon
WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

2nd shave with the Personna Lab paired with Stirling Coniferous today. I had a MUCH better shave today with the second Lab: very close, nick & burn free. The first Lab must have been that elusive bad blade that pops up once in a while. I finished with a Barbon blast.

So far, all sandalwood soaps and creams this week. Proraso cream and soap, TOBS cream, Razorock soap. I'll have to dig in my sample bag now, I'm sure I've got more.

    Friday

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Ozark Mountain Soap
    Soap: Proraso Sandalwood-Red Tub
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Personna Lab (4)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Pure Badger

    Aftershave: Aspen
    Post: Nivea After Shave Balm

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

4th shave with the Personna Lab. I brought out the Proraso Sandalwood Red Tub this morning. I had quite a bit of tugging and my shave was not as close as usual. I personally can feel a difference between the Med Prep’ and the Labs. I finished with Aspen Cologne and Nivea AS Balm.

Walk in the Woods Week (I'm late)
Prep: warm face wash, Proraso Green Crema pre Barba
    Soap: LA Shavings Woody Lavender
    Razor: Merkur Classic 33c
Blade: Gillette 7 o'clock Sharp Edge Yellow (4)
AS: Krampert's Finest Frostbite, Proraso Green Crema pre Barba

DFS. Old reliable classic served me well today. The Proraso and Krampert's feels nice on my neck burn from the M10 the other day. I even brought the Crema pre Barba to work in case I feel like re-applying during the day.

:happy096: So how did the soap and oil turn out?

It turned out awesome. I added some vitamin e oil to the preshave, I'm liking that. And as far as the soap. I can't rave enough about their shave soap base. I made 3 different scents. Sandalwood/vanilla, lavender, and eucalyptus/mint. My kids say the euc/mint smells like "5" gum. ( that brand spacifically)

    A different Sandalwood today...

    Saturday

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Ozark Mountain Soap
    Soap: Coate’s Sandalwood Cream
    Razor: ’66 Gillette Slim “6”
    Blade: Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow SE (1)
    Brush: Omega 6192 Pure Badger
    Aftershave: Clubman
    Post: Nivea Post Shave Balm
WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

1ST shave this round with the Gillette 7 O’Clock Yellow SE. I used the Coate’s Sandalwood Cream this morning. They both did a great job: smooth, close, nick free. I finished with Clubman AS and Nivea Post Shave Balm. The “Yellow” is off to a good start. This was the first blade I used when I switched to a DE.
