A couple of weeks ago I bought this brush from West Coast Shaving with the hopes that I would be able to pull the synthetic knot and use it in another handle that I have. I steamed the brush and when I went to pull out the knot the bristles came out but the glue plug stayed in the handle. So with the synthetic knot ruined I decided to get an Omega 10049 to sacrifice for the knot and set it into this brush. I don't know if you can see from the third photo but the ends of the bristles came with a good amount of splitting already. Have any of you seen this on a new Omega brush before ? Before: After:
I can't say I've paid much attention. This is my all time favorite knot. I mess around quite a bit with Omega boar knots and have gone with the 3 day soak for break in because I'm just about always breaking in a knot. You have a nice looking brush, enjoy.
Twin non-identical (fraternal) grand daughters = two different people born at the same time. One has straight smooth easy to comb hair and doesn't mind having her hair pulled. She even leans into the pull to get it done quicker. The other has curly unruly frizzy split ends that get that rat nest on the back of her head from sleeping. Sensitive scalp so every brushing session is trauma & tears. Maybe you got a knot from a fuzzy pig.
