View attachment 11512 Click The Pic... This week we'll be discussing Veleiro AS. Well, maybe I'll be discussing it with the few people who have it. (and most of those are probably due to samples I sent them....:happy102) In a word: Buy it. Ok, that was two, but you get the point. Actually, this stuff may not be for everyone. It's scent strength packs quite the punch. To me - and it's becoming very apparent to me that my sniffer works very differently from everyone elses.... To me it smells along the lines of (if memory serves) Escape or Eternity colognes. Not that those two smell the same, but the Veleiro smells like or close to one or the other (or in between?). Which ever it smells like, it smells good to me and my wife, although it is quite strong and lasts. I wouldn't pair it with a cologne, it almost lasts long enough to qualify as one...although I'm sure it would work well with it's cologne counterpart. Skin care is quite nice - maybe not quite as good as Speick or La Toja (IMO those 2 are tops) but certainly up there with my favorites and equal to Brummel. The coolest thing about this AS though, is the surprising cooling effect it has. I did not expect to get a menthol cooling feeling from it, but it is there. Not a lot, certainly not a face-freezer, but enough to let you know it has menthol in it. If you plan to get some, I would highly recommend at least the matching shave cream.

I concur with Matt. Thanks for the sample, buddy. This stuff is really nice. My wife loves Hugo by Hugo Boss and she said it smells just like that to her. It is definitely strong enough that you don't want to pair it with a different cologne. Guess what will be in my next order to Leon...
Its almost impossible to go wrong with a Portuguese shaving creams.Musgo and Lavanda shares the same formulation different scent,the same that O Melhor and Veleiro,different smells,same ingredients.The good things about them is all of them includes lanolin on their formula and we know how good lanolin for the skin care.I truly believe that any Portuguese cream is a winner.
Hello Gentlemen, The scent is similar to «O Melhor»'s. They are both very nice and are my favorite. I don't shave every day, I shave every other day, so in the day that I don't shave, I put some Veleiro Cologne. It smells really nice and SWMBO likes it too
I got a sample of this from Matt and I really like it. I used to wear Eternity not too long after it first came out so that is probably the reason that I enjoy it. It is already on my list of items that I'm getting when I do my next order from Leon.
