Awesome find sir! I saw that listing after it was completed & thought WOW...somebody just got a heck of a deal. I'm glad to see it went to you. Especially since you've compiled & shared so much info on the Schicks.
I wouldn't call it a deal since not more than about a year or so ago you could get one for about half that price assuming you could find one for sale. Since that time the razor has gotten overhyped kinda like the Gillette Fatboy razors which in turn drove up the price and demand. Either way that is what the market is bearing right now price wise and frankly I don't see that price dropping until collector demand is satiated. That could take years considering maybe 3 to 5 of them come up for sale a year.
Considering you found a cased set & your razor still has it's gold plating intact, I'd say you did quite well. I was lucky enough to find a Type F last year because it was mixed in with a lot of razors & not listed as such. The plating on mine was long gone when I received it, but those copper & brass sections still shine up nicely.
I agree, it is a really nice piece condition wise. The last few I've seen come up for sale weren't in half as good shape or had a case. Don't get me wrong I don't think I got beat on it price wise just that the price jumped quite a bit in a very short time is all now that there are other razor collectors who are not really into Schick or injector razors wanting this particular model. Besides there are razors I buy to use and those I buy to flip to finance the former. I don't collect razors to display. This one if I hold onto it might become a finance my buying more razors purchase if it is not something I would shave with on a regular basis.
I should get in a day or so a 3 piece Le Coq razor. Does anyone have any info on make or model of this razor.
I'm not sure the handle or top cap match the base plate at all. I'm thinking frankenrazor all the way around.

I was at my local casino Friday night, the Rivers Casino (formerly the Sugarhouse Casino) and won over $100 playing roulette. I took home my winnings and bought myself a Rex Envoy this morning from WCS. I can’t wait to shave with it; if it’s like the Ambassador I’ll love it for sure.
Seller took my low offer on what appears to be a 1915-1918 Milady Decolette in a Tuckaway case...........
Found a seller selling these two Old Spice tankards for just a little over than buying just one. Plus they're two different styles..........
