1. Just curious what razors everyone is using for there daily drivers.

My daily shave razors currently. These razors give great shaves and are easy to take care of.

.1 Has been in this spot for years. Razo Rock GC .84 left side in pic.
.2 Just added great shaver. West Coast Shaving WCS American Liberty razor (Charcoil Goods plate/head design) right side razor in pic.

These are daily use favorites for me. I do rotate in my vintage Gillettes that I love to.

6-20-23 Quick correction meant to say .84 plate above on the Razo Rock GC= Corrected

    Happy Shaves,

  3. I really like that razor. I also get some great shaves from some of my vintage Gillettes. I have never tried that particular blade yet. I pretty much have settled in on the Astra SP blades.

  6. I have 70-80 new and vintage razors. I don't have a "daily driver". Each week or so I just randomly pick a razor. I guess it makes for a little bit of excitement.

  8. Thats a great plan. I like it plus all your razors get some love. I have about 30 or 40 razors myself.

  9. i do similar, i use one till the blade is done, then swap it.:)
  10. Same here.
Sometimes four razors at once but when the blade is done I clean the razor and get another one out.

I just finished a blade in a Schick J Type and I’ve got a couple more shaves in a Parker adjustable injector waiting for me.

One or two more in a Parker Variant and then four more in a new DE that I can’t remember the name at the moment.

Usually at least one injector and one DE sitting out but sometimes more.

  11. Right now I am mainly using Single Edge options with Schick Injectors being most frequently used but, the AC format is a new one I'm testing out.

The DE that gets the most action at the moment is my Edwin Jagger 3one6 though, the Muhle Rocca is really nice too.

  12. I think you'll like the AC razors. I have 4 and find them the most efficient. My ATT SE 2 OC is a beast, but a friendly one.

  15. Weishi 9306 (short handle) is the one I use most of the time.
    I prefer "mild" razors.

    Other razors in my rotation:
    • Vintage Gillette: 4 Tech, 1 Super Speed, 1 Slim Adjustable, 1 .195/Fatboy, 1 Super Adjustable.
    • Lord L5 (I think the best value for money Tech clone out there - RiMei A2001? is nice as well)
    • Mühle R89, Merkur 34c/41c/42c
    • Chinese R89 head clone with Yaqi brass handle.

    I rarely use:
    • FaTip Piccolo MK1&MK2, Gentile.
    • Parker Variant.
    • Around a dozen cheopo Chinese razors, like Baili Tech/Upgrade/TTO, Yaqi heads (Mellon, Tech), no name "Mellon" head, etc.
    • A few vintage Open Comp I don't even know the brand of.

Ironically the Weishi is my favorite. TTO makes changing blades fast and easy, it's mild enough with its small blade gap, so I virtually never cut myself, even when in a hurry, but has enough blade exposure to get an effortless BBS with no irritation.
I have 4 of them, 2 in my dopp kits, 1 for home and one as a backup.
Loosing them is no biggie since they're so cheap. I love me Weishi long time. :eatdrink013:

  17. My daily drivers are usually different every day, I like Variety has been my conclusion. I do have a few favourites that get used more like my Razorock Lupo.72, Star bar 1919-20 lather catcher and a Yaqi Excalibur SE AC injector. I enjoy the Razorock brand, Yaqi brand, ASR brand, Schick injector brand and of course few Gillette razors.
Shaving should be a little challenge every morning to keep it interesting IMO.

  18. Schick model L, with Schick Injector II blade(s). Never a problem. :)

  19. Or are they? Can of worms...
I've heard that they are, and they aren't.
I have both, but I'm a bad judge. I've been cycling through about 5 or 6 different brands of blades weekly and I can't discern any difference among ANY of them, lol. I guess I'm just a lucky guy!

For the first time in years, I've settled on a rotation for the last 3 or 4 months, but I use a given razor for more than just one week before I rotate. They are:

    1. Green Cult 1.1
    2. Rockwell 6S (mostly sticking to the R4 plate, after using the R3 plate for about a week or 2)
    3. Feather AS-D2

My plan is to use one of the many other razors I have occasionally, too, since I have scores of them...for what it's worth. But I think I've settled on those 3 as my cornerstones.
