Been experimenting with one of these. So far I've had interesting results, but it's going to need further research...

Mühle Basic #02 shave brush with a faux horn handle and Silver Tip Fibre. This is my go-to brush, I simply love it.

So far so good. This has to be the stiffest, softest brush yet. Purdy did their homework..it's like a silvertip with a world of backbone. It holds tons and tons of everything and seems to be out performing any shaving brush I've ever used. Unbelievable for face lathering. Even not broken, the brush is lathering up like a rabid beast. The problem is that this thing is producing a lather quality the likes of which I've never seen. The product is uber thick and dense and it's taking a while to overcome an unexpected drying effect. At this point I'm guardedly optimistic...

I used my "Best Badger in Butterscotch" from The Golden Nib. At this point,, 5 shaves in, it is quickly becoming my favorite brush.
