This mornings shave was a boker edelweiss that I just finished with a zulu gray. I had never used the stone before. I learned that zulu grays put a nice finish on edelweiss edges.
That my favorite blade keeps changing. Usually it's either Personna Lab or Med Prep. Now it's starting to be SuperMax Titanium.
I recently bought a Tawn mens travel kit for $10. I bought it mostly for the beautiful minty Gillette Tech it contained, but most of the products still have contents. Today I learned that I like hair tonic a lot. At least Tawn hair tonic. I keep my hair cropped to well under an inch so I didn't think I would get much out of it. I was wrong! I guess one more step in the grooming regimen won't hurt.
Oh the GEM Junior Parade Fat Handle is great for pain in hands. I have psoriatic arthritis in my hands. The Featherweight is good too
From my last shave I learned that I still don't like Rapira Platinum that much, but they aren't that bad of a blade.
From my last shave(this morning) I learned that with a good preshave prep a Trac2 cart mated to a Bump Fighter handle will give a pretty good shave...
Today was my first shave using Stirling soap. I wanted to try it based on all the great reviews I read here on the forum. Wanting something that was unscented, I chose Naked and Smooth. I learned that a slick soap like Stirling helps me get a great two-pass shave.
I prefer the carbon steel SE blades, some of which are "store brands", over the stainless by a large margin.
