What does 'SWMBO' stand for :)

I see this all the time - what the heck does it stand for ?

SWMBO ??

She Who Must Be Obeyed, ie your wife....

My GF is taking my new obsession with shaving stuff so so, she likes I take care of my skin, but dislikes that I almost take up the same shelf space in the bathroom cabinet as she does

 

I prefer TWGW - The World's Greatest Wife.

 

Yup... I prefer TWGW as well; however, there are those times where the TWGW becomes SWMBO

Of course some of us think it means She Who Must Be Oblivious

 

She who must be obeyed. I was first acquainted with this term in H. Rider Haggard's Alland Quatermain novels.

Specifically, the term refers to the novel "She" by H. Rider Haggard.

The character in the book Ayesha, was know as "She who must be obeyed"

After reading "King Soloman's Mines" I became addicted to the Allan Quatermain novels and rapidly read every single one I could get my hands on. Which then led me onto the non-Quatermain novels, such as "She"

Many of these titles are available for free at the Project Gutenberg Website.

If you like reading the classic stories of adventure, I highly recommend them.
